Meet Our Staff

Tara Helm joined Partnership for Change as the coordinator in October 2018. She has been involved with the coalition since Fall 2017 when she began analyzing the place of last drink data as a graduate student. She developed an interest in prevention while working at a children’s hospital in Wisconsin as a child passenger safety technician. During her graduate program, she had an internship with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at their Midwest Regional Office in Matteson, Illinois, which expanded her interests to include substance abuse prevention. Shortly after this opportunity, she began her involvement with the coalition.

Tara has an undergraduate degree in Social Welfare with a certificate in Global Health from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Master of Public Health degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and is a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband and Rhodesian Ridgeback.
