Tobacco

Many adults mistakenly believe that we fought tobacco and the battle is over. While Minnesota and the nation have many successes – tobacco use rates are in decline, we have the freedom to breathe smoke free air in restaurants – we still have many challenges ahead. People living in town-homes and apartments share the air with neighbors who choose to smoke. E-cigarettes are highly addictive but are viewed as a safe alternative to traditional smoking. Tobacco is still the #1 cause of preventable death in America.
